As a small business owner you understand how difficult it can be to manage all of the parts of your business. With so many different things to do it can be difficult to fit everything into your work day.

Social media often becomes forgotten about or the last thing to work on because, for many businesses, it is not a priority. However, with small business marketing changing extremely quickly, you must make sure that you are incorporating it into your business marketing plan.

Social media marketing doesn't have to be overwhelming. You just have to be prepared.

There are many ways to do social media marketing in just a few minutes a day.

* One of the first things you want to do is focus on the area you get the most engagement right now. It doesn't matter if it's Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or any other as each business is different as are your followers.

* Then, each day spend a few minutes going through posts on the top performing social media channel conversing, liking, adding new followers.

* Next, put in your updates and schedule them by using a tool such as Hootsuite or Buffer or a similar social media scheduling tool. Using a posting tool will help you get your message out even if you are busy on other tasks. It allows you to post throughout the day easily.

* Later that same day go back to that same page and spend a few minutes conversing liking commenting and finding new followers again. That's it. Once you get comfortable with building that social media channel add in the second one and maybe a third, depending on your business. Work it the same way.

Not sure what to post?

If you have a blog, obvious posting ideas would be to share your blog posts. Also share other people's articles that you interested in and would be a benefit for your readers. Share information about new products, promotions, and other information about your business. Make sure to mix it up so you're not posting the same things all the time. One thing to remember is don't leave your social media marketing on auto posting and then never go back and converse or interact with your followers. You will lose traction and followers quickly.

Social Media marketing is a one on one relationship which is why it has become such a strong way to market a small business. When you manage your social media marketing properly, it can be a highly engaging way to build your business and these tips will help you manage it in just a few minutes a day.
