We are all busy. Especially as a small business entrepreneur and one man show we realize time is precious. There's only so many hours in the day to schedule your work. And we also know that the priority is doing tasks that are going to make you money. We also know that creating content is a critical item for our schedule too. Content engages and inspires our potential new followers, customers and clients which can lead to making money.

So how do we fit in creating content in our busy schedule? Check out these 7 ideas.

Creating Fresh Content with a Busy Schedule

Outsource

If you simply have no time or you feel you cannot write or create content in an effective manner, outsourcing to a freelance professional is a great idea. You can get quality work in both written and images for publication. The product belongs to you and you can use it however you need. This is a great tool for producing content on a regular basis.

Update Existing Content

If you have plenty of content on your website through a blog or other methods, update and refresh the existing articles and reshare them on social media. You can also rewrite an old piece with a fresh new twist as a new piece of content.

Use Guest Posts

Guest posts are a great tool for those with like-minded ideas. You're not only offering a different viewpoint, but you are also creating fresh backlinks that are great for new traffic in and out of your site.

Use Google Trends and Alerts for Fresh Ideas

Set up alerts on Google for what's trending in your business field. This will typically give you new ideas to create content around. Facebook and on Twitter also have trends that could jumpstart ideas.  Google has a trends area that you can set up alerts on too.  BuzzSumo is another great tool for finding hot topics

Create Idea Lists

Keep a list going of ideas as they come across your brain or across the Internet. These can be partially written or just an idea of a topic. That way when you have just a few minutes to create something new, you n pull an idea and knock it out quickly.

Use Different Types of Content

Be creative in the different types of content you produce. If you're having an especially busy week, use images or infographics to create content. Maybe do a video or a live stream that will lead them to signing up for your email or give them something else of value.

Use Voice Tools for Content Creation

When you're busy and just can't sit and type something up, use voice and an online note app to dictate your thoughts. You can then outsource it to your freelancer for creation and publication. Huge timesaver and allows you to multitask, especially when driving or waiting on an appointment.

With the online industry today things are changing at a rapid pace and content is a huge part of staying in the game. But it doesn't have to overwhelm you or take over either. Use different tools available to you that will allow you to stay fresh and on top of your industry, while keeping your online exposure current and informative as well.
