6 Tips to Improve Email Signups for Your Business

One of the most valuable tools that a business can have is an active email list.  The ability to reach out to those that have chosen to follow you is a priceless commodity. 

Just think about all of those businesses that you do business with and how many of those you have chosen to receive emails on a regular basis. 

Whether it's information regarding a new items, a sale on products, or tips on usage of product, or even just blog posts on topics that you enjoy, an email system for your business something that you need to set up, if you haven't already.

Being able to reach out to your customers, clients, and potentially new clients is very important for your business in terms of sales growth and branding. 

So how do you improve your email sign-ups? Here are some tips to help your business. 

1. Choose an email format that will allow you multiple ways to connect with your readers. You can use services such as MailChimp or you can use a plug-in, if you have a WordPress site Another option is using the FeedBurner integration. However, that won't give you the ability to email your list directly but it is a start for feed from your blog posts.

2. Integrate a form on your website that will collect email addresses. Many people also include an incentive for information or a thank you in the way of a free download, tip sheet etc. 

3. Add a link at the end of each post on your blog to encourage sign-ups. Or you can have a pop up right before they click off of your site.

4. Schedule a time for your post to go out for the best open rate. When you use MailChimp or a similar service or many of the plug-ins, you will find information on the open rates of the emails. Try sending emails at different times to test the open rates. Some people find sending them on the weekends or in the middle of the night is the best. However, that may not be right for you 

5. Use your social media accounts to help promote your email sign-ups. Create a nice graphic and Pin it to the top of your Facebook page and your Twitter page to let people know that you have it. 

6. Make sure to offer email sign-ups in your store location, if you have one, or even at events, if you are out and doing those for your business development.

These six tips will help you grow your sign up rate and improve communication for your business to your list.
